A dressing gown is a loose-fitting outer garment that can be worn by men or women, usually while indoors relaxing, getting ready for bed or over your pyjamas as an extra layer.
How to fold a dressing gown?
Before folding your bath robe or dressing gown, ensure that it is fully dry. Lay it flat with the front facing up on a flat, clean surface like your bed or table. Smooth out the fabric so there are no wrinkles or creases for a neater fold. Lay the sleeves so they are flat and separate from the robe.
Close the dressing gown, with the lapels overlapping slightly. Smooth out again and then flip the robe so that the back of the robe is facing up. Fold each of the bathrobe’s arms in, making sure they lay horizontally across the shoulder section of the bath robe. Take one side of the dressing gown and fold it inwards just over a quarter of the width of the bath robe. Then, fold the other side of the bathrobe so that the edge lays in line with the other side.
From here, fold the top of the bath robe a third of the way down. Once you have folded it down, lift the collar gently and you will see an opening between the front of the bath robe and the other folded sections. Take the bottom of the bath robe and tuck it into this opening. Wrap the dressing gown tie around the folded dressing gown and you have finished folding!
